1. About These Terms

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shootly platform, including the iOS app, the web app at www.shootly.co.uk, and the Ground Portal. By using Shootly, you agree to these Terms.

Shootly is provided by MTE Software Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16983418), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. ICO registration: ZC093445.

2. The Service

Shootly is a shooting companion platform for clay pigeon and game shooters. It provides:

3. Account Registration

You must sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and your Shootly account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Shootly.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date. You may only create one account per person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

iOS (App Store):

Shootly Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription via the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

Web (Stripe):

On the web, subscriptions are processed by Stripe. You can subscribe at www.shootly.co.uk/pro. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled. You can manage your subscription, update payment details, and view invoices through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your Profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

Free trial:

New users receive a 7-day free trial of Pro features. No payment is required for the trial. At the end of the trial, you will be moved to the Free tier unless you subscribe. We will notify you before your trial expires.

Refunds:

For App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. For web purchases via Stripe, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@shootly.co.uk. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Shootly, including scores, game day records, notes, and photographs. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using Shootly, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the service. This includes sending your photographs to our AI processing partner (Anthropic) for score card and certificate scanning.

You can delete your data at any time — individual records, or your entire account from Profile > Delete Account. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

Shootly provides indicative CPSA classification bands based on your recorded scores and our rolling average calculations. These are NOT official CPSA classifications. Official classifications should be obtained from the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association directly. We do not guarantee the accuracy of classification calculations.

9. Shotgun Certificate Disclaimer

The shotgun certificate scanning and storage feature is a convenience tool. The digital copy stored in Shootly is NOT a legal substitute for your physical shotgun certificate. You must carry your physical certificate as required by law. We do not verify the validity of certificates and accept no liability for errors in AI-extracted data. Always check the extracted details against your physical certificate.

11. Intellectual Property

The Shootly name, logo, and branding are trademarks of MTE Software Limited. The Shootly software, including the iOS app, web app, and API, is the intellectual property of MTE Software Limited. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Shootly platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

Shootly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MTE Software Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Shootly or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using Shootly at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the retention periods set out in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of Shootly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
